Terms and Conditions

The breeder assumes no liability for veterinary costs or other expenses incurred by the owner. Buyer acknowledges that the breeders' liability can never exceed what is expressed in this guarantee and is limited to physical replacement of the cat/kitten. The breeder assumes no responsibility in the event of an accidental death or injury occurring after the adoption.

This cat/kitten includes a 72-hour guarantee for viral diseases and a 1-year guarantee for congenital/genetic defects. Coronavirus (FeVC) is not covered by this guarantee as most of cat populations are asymptomatic carriers. We strongly recommend that the new owner proceed with regular deworming and parasite prevention, as those could easily be picked up in the animal's environment or through contact with other animals.

Seller represents and warrants that (1) the Kitten has been examined and vaccinated by a veterinarian, (2) the Kitten has been vaccinated once, and (3) to the best of Seller's knowledge, the Kitten is free of material genetic health defects.

Buyer acknowledges that hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and feline hip dysplasia (FHD) are prevalent in the Maine Coon breed. Buyer acknowledges that Seller cannot and does not guarantee that Buyer's Kitten will not manifest symptoms of HCM and FHD at a later date. Therefore, Seller agrees to give a one-year replacement health guarantee for HCM and FHD (the "Replacement Guarantee"). However, the Seller shall not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Buyer for the treatment of the Kitten for HCM, FHD, or any other illness. To exercise the Replacement Guarantee, Buyer shall send Seller a written notice stating that Buyer seeks to exercise the Replacement Guarantee. At that time, Buyer shall choose a licensed veterinarian, at the expense of Buyer, to examine and prepare a written statement concluding that the Kitten has or has not been diagnosed with HCM or FHD. If the written statement indicates that the Kitten has HCM or FHD or has died of HCM or FHD, the Seller shall replace the Kitten according to the Replacement Guarantee.

No monetary compensation can be claimed. Seller shall not be responsible for veterinary costs incurred for the treatment or surgery due to any illness, whether hereditary, contagious, or happenstance. The seller is not obligated to replace a kitten for any reason other than those stated within this contract. No cash refund is offered or shall be given to the Buyer,

Other than the limited warranty stated herein, the Kitten is being sold to Buyer on an "AS-IS, WHERE IS BASIS"

As stated above, Kittens include a one-year HCM and heart defects guarantee; however, it does not cover murmurs for kittens. Heart murmurs are quite common in young kittens and in most cases disappear with age. Heart murmurs in kittens are hard to hear and very often misdiagnosed and wrongly graded in young kittens. Some vets will hear murmurs when others will not. A heart murmur can be caused by stress or be a harmless sound, not necessarily indicating an issue with the heart at all. Just as a kitten with no heart murmur at all can still have a heart issue or HCM. Buyer may proceed with an echocardiogram at 1 year of age if the murmur persists, and provided an actual heart defect is confirmed, the guarantee will apply.

In the event of the animal's death within the guarantee limit the animal must undergo an autopsy to certify the cause of death being one covered by the guarantee. All delivery and shipping expenses are at the responsibility of buyer and are not refundable in any case. Kittens being shipped are not guaranteed for incidents, injuries, losses or death occurring during shipping from the moment the kitten is booked in to the moment he/she arrive to their destination. all inconveniences and complaints regarding issues during shipping are to be resolved directly with the airline company. The buyer understands it is his/her decision to proceed with a long-distance purchase that may imply extra nonrefundable fees and flight/delivery-related risks.

Buyer understands it is his/her responsibility to follow up with necessary vaccines, deworming and provide his or her cat/kitten with regular veterinary care. Kittens may experience teeth growth complications and sometimes require surgery to correct improper teeth positioning or ingrowth. Young kittens tend to be reckless and very adventurous; they are prone to ingesting inappropriate, dangerous objects and fall/hurt themselves accidentally. This guarantee does not cover dental issues, intestinal occlusion or accidental injuries, which can require tremendously expensive veterinary care.

Declawing will result in this health guarantee being entirely voided as it may result in growth and bone development complications due to the removal of a 1/3 of the paw surface, which will inevitably affect a cat's balance and posture. Such a severe surgery will also cause tremendous stress to the kitten that may affect and lower his/her immune system and cause stress-related and serious long-term physical complications.

The purpose of this contract is to protect all parties: the purchaser, the breeder, and the cat/kitten. If you ever need help/advice, please do not hesitate to contact us. It will be a pleasure to assist and guide you. Transitioning to a new home can be an incredibly stressful event in a cat/kitten's life, and they may handle it in various ways. Some will do perfectly fine, and some can get depressed, more vocal, lose their appetite, or have diarrhea/bloody stools (especially if undergoing a change in diet at the same time). Those are normal stress symptoms and will normally resolve themselves within a few days. If those persist, do not hesitate to contact us so we can try to help.

Return and Refund Policy

Deposits are not returned unless the breeder agrees for good reasons.
